Press Release::United Nations and Queen of Green partner on large scale poverty alleviation

United Nations and Queen of Green partner on large scale poverty alleviation

Queen of Green IPO will raise funds from the private markets to invest in 14 Social Development programs in 70 countries for 200 million poor and support Ban Ki Moon and the $7.4 billion needed for poverty alleviation in crisis countries.

Hope has put the 2005 UN Policy for 'Innovation for financing' into action and mobilized surplus funds to be invested in 'bottom up' programs to directly benefit the poorest of the poor to be sustianable and grow local markets.

Hope says " it is not a lack of funding but a surplus of indifference." How can any professional appreciate what its like to live on $1 or less a day?  To sell your baby to a witch doctor as you have no breast milk to feed them, or go to school and sit on the sand as worms crawl into your toes or fingers?  or plan your emergency healthcare by teathering a goat to your hut and selling it when your child gets maleria..these are the daily realities that the 1 billion poorest of the poor encounter every day and now Hope has inspired hundreds of bankers, traders, Forex, Corporate Foundations, Hedge funds and CSR Managers to care too by mobilizing capital that seeks a return to bring about a positive transofrmation on a huge scale.

The United Nations asked governments and private donors for a record $7.4 billion next year to provide 50 million people worldwide with food, clothing and other urgent humanitarian aid. The request came with the formal launch of the fundraising drive Tuesday. It's the biggest such request since the U.N. began its "consolidated" humanitarian appeals in 1991. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said it contains "action plans for 14 of the world's most severe crises" to be carried out by most major non-governmental humanitarian organizations and U.N. agencies.

The five biggest amounts sought under the plan are $1.7 billion for Sudan,$1 billion for Pakistan, $907 million for Haiti, $719 million for Congo and $679 million for Afghanistan.
