Obama Campaign Website Hacked

Obama Website Hacked
Obama Website Invites Supporters To Fake Anti-Government Events Hosted By 'Commy Obama': Report

President Barack Obama's campaign website was infiltrated on Tuesday, the Washington Examinerreports.
Users of the Obama 2012 application for mobile devices were informed of two fake anti-government events hosted by "Commy Obama" in the nation's capitol, according to the Examiner.
The Obama campaign has made headlines for its push to go digital ahead of 2012. The AP recentlyreported:
Emails to supporters seek small-dollar donations in exchange for campaign coffee mugs or a chance to win dinner with the president. The campaign's website helps supporters find local events, plan meetings and raise money while its digital team develops the next big thing.
If Obama broke new ground in 2008 using email, text messages and the Web to reach voters, Obama version 2.0 aims to take the Web campaign to the next level – harnessing the expansive roles that the Internet and social media are playing in voters' lives.
"1. Politicians and other public servants lie," read a note on the Obama website alerting supporters of the fake campaign events, according to the Examiner. "2. Politicians tell you what you want to hear and offer to provide things for 'free' to get votes. 3. When government buys, the people pay."
ABC News reports that Obama campaign officials removed the posting.
“The site was not hacked,” campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said, according to ABC News. “These are user generated sites for supporters -- we monitor them for inappropriate content but aren’t able to catch everything right away.”
