Press Release::Queen of Green to transform Sheikh Zayed Mosque – Abu Dhabi

Queen of Green FZE will transform the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in February 2011 into the first green mosque in the world.

Queen of Green will apply a 14 step process to transform this stunningly beautiful Mosque from an energy consumer to an energy generator, in alignment with the environmental policy in the Holy Quran.

Abu Dhabi Municipality currently pays millions of dirhams for electricity, waste, water, gardens, lighting and air conditioning. Queen of Green will reduce air conditioning costs by 15%, electricity costs by 85%. All the water will be filtered and recycled from abolutions to water the gardens.

Hope has studied teachings from all the religions and the environmental policy in the Holy Quran is the most comprehensive.

Queen of Green is producing a documentary called "Muslims Go Green" which includes passages from the Quran with the modern green technologies and how to apply them. The documentary will be available for all Muslims to watch on their mobile phones.
